HIP HOP IN THE PARK
We're two gals-- a yoga teacher and a dance teacher-- who created an outdoor dance class with breathwork and intention.
This is a hip hop dance class for all levels but with the beginnings of a yoga class: starting with grounding, breath, and intention-setting. We've called the beginning phase a "prompt" which will be the foundation of the choreography that you learn for those 75 minutes. As you learn the choreography, the moves will solidify into muscle memory, allowing the body to become a vehicle in answering that prompt.
Our hope is that you can lose yourself (or is it find?) through dance to give you clarity and release in a way that no amount of thinking logic can, in the presence of others on the same journey as you.
We will cool down with stretching and savasana (lying down on the earth) and then open up for questions and discussion at the end.
